Secrets? Oh yeah, Dean Wades has a doozy. When he goes up, he doesn’t necessarily come back down. Okay, that’s not true. Dean’s a master at falling, it’s the landing that could use improvement—a lot of improvement. After thirteen years of attempting to conquer this gravity defying mystery, he can no longer live with not knowing what he is anymore. So he heads cross-country to see the two people who just might be able to give him the answers he seeks…his folks. Easygoing Gavin Trevor is always willing to help his family, even when they have ulterior motives…like forcing him to make up with his annoying older brother. When a simple task at his parent’s house puts him in a position of danger, he’ll need a lot more than luck to avoid a serious injury—he’ll need his very own superhero. And the fates collide, well sort of. It may not be love at first sight—Gavin was unconscious in Dean’s arms for their initial introduction…but perhaps these two men can make it a relationship at first flight? A threat against Gavin’s family throws a wrench in their plans, and while Dean gladly offers his amateur talent to help the mission, Gavin doesn’t want to put his rescuer’s life in jeopardy by risking exposure of the greatest secret ever. This proves to be a rescue adventure for the books. Or is that a rescue misadventure?

This is a fun, but harrowing, tale of amateur heroes making a big ol' mess and also saving the day.Dean and his snarky BFF Tia are traveling to Florida to visit his parents and determine if they can help him with his dubious superpower. See, Dean can fly. Not well, mind, but he can fly. It's landing that's his problem. He falls. A lot.En route to his folks' retirement community home, Dean rescues Gavin, who had bashed his head on the gutter and was tumbling off a tall ladder to the cement sidewalk. In the process Dean revealed his secret flying skills and now he's sure Gavin will blow his cover. Gavin, who's got a bit of a hero complex due to his bossy cop of a big brother, has no problem blowing, ahem, something of Dean's, but his cover it is not. Wink. Wink.In usual big bro fashion, Gavin's brother, Melvin, assumes that Gavin had been attacked when he sees the bloody gutter and overturned ladder. He stages a siege on Gavin's life just when Gavin and Dean were getting much better acquainted. This is a quick little short that seemed ultra-fluffy and took me in a whole different direction when Melvin gets caught in a bad situation and Gavin calls on Dean and Tia to help. Expect blood. And serious bad stuff going down. And domestic violence. And a dramatic rescue that is 87% crazy and 13% dumb luck.I enjoyed this Most Excellent (Mis)Adventure, which seems to be the beginning of a possible series of books for Gavin and Dean. Yay! They are a cute couple and Tia and Melvin seem to be getting on like an Arizona brush fire. Hot and fierce.

I will admit superheroes and stuff are not really my thing, but I do like to switch things up from time to time and I love Havan Fellows. I was won over! The star of the show--oops-- I mean book was Dean. A young man that can fly but not land. He and his best friend Tia are off to Florida to find Dean’s Parents for answers.Tia was hilarious. She is tiny but an explosive stick of dynamite and gives the comic relief to Dean’s serious side. I liked Gavin as well once we started getting a bit more about him and his brother. The story is cute but has a bit of drama tossed in (what would a book about a superhero be if there wasn’t someone that needed saving?)If you are looking for something different, fun and fast and like superheroes and comics this is just the book you need. I really needed a lighthearted story and this was perfect.* I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review through http://mmgoodbookreviews.wordpress.com *

Or is that a rescue misadventure?Flyboy’s First Misadventure was a lovely read, a great addition to this new series. I found Havan’s writing easy and really great. I need to check out more by this author, because honestly this one was a winner.Gavin is a tattoo artist apprentice, struggling to be accepted by his military family and always fighting with his brother. One day while helping his parents in some houseworks involving a ladder, he literally falls into Dean’s arms.Dean is a cute superhero, he can fly (well not exactly fly, more like jump high in the air, flutter a little and then face-plant in the dirty ground!) and has an amazing best friend in Tia. They are on a trip to see Dean’s folks to come out of his hero closet and maybe learn more about his talent.I saw the sparkles between my MCs from the start and it was a crescendo in the story, with a lot of funny moments, some sweet ones and an unexpected rescue mission, until I wasn’t sure anymore who was the real superhero. It’s a story that has a lot of potential and it needs a sequel or two. I’m so glad Havan has more to come. This was just the start. If you’re looking for some light book, easy, fun and believable in its not real world, you have to give a chance to this one. I’m glad I did cause I enjoyed it a lot.Flyboy’s First Misadventure is part of the Story Orgy Collection: Superhero. Four authors, Lee Brazil, Havan Fellows, Em Woods and Hank Edwards will show us some new heros to love. I can’t wait to read the next stories.Cover art by Startled Monkeys Media. The cover caught my attention first, it’s colorful and funny. I soon liked it and wanted to know more about the story. Well done.

Best Ebook PDF Rainbow Reader Orange: Flourish and Flings (Rainbow Reader Series Book 2), by Adam Stevens

Rainbow Reader Orange: “Flourish and Flings” This book includes content from the original, now super-secret manuscript, “Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out,” and has been modified, embellished and enhanced based on reader interest in the characters from the original series. There is really only one moment in time we can cherish, that we remember through all of the good and bad times in our lives. If you can take that one moment in time and cherish it forever, it can bring joy where there is sorrow; happiness and hope where there is despair. This is a secret that we hold true to ourselves, to our hearts. Sometimes you remember the first kiss, the first time you fell off your bike, and the person who was there to pick you up, or when you fell out of the tree, you remember who carried you bleeding to the hospital, or cleaned up your wounds and gave you encouragement and inspiration to go on. But it is this secret you hold true, deep down inside that you can sometimes forget. When all else fails, it was the one true thing that you were supposed to hold onto, it molds you into who you are, and who you will be. It helps you evaluate who you were, where you were, and gives you focus on who you want to become, and where you want to go. “Flourish and Flings” is the second of the Rainbow Reader series that reveals the sexual discovery, encounters and developing adventures that define the main character as he interacts with characters the readers wanted to know more about from the original Moments in Time series. Fiction is a lie, but there is truth behind every lie. Georgie’s 30 year journey spans the entire Rainbow Reader series and can be read in any order. However, for readers interested in following the timeline in complete continuity, the proper reading order for the series begins with the unpublished, “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” and continues directly into “Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.” The timeline continues chronologically into the three “Moments in Time” novels. Following the three “Moments in Time” novels, the story and timeline then continues to spin off different characters’ timelines in order to give the reader an all-encompassing, comprehensive and truly relative reading experience about the characters’ lives as they all develop individually. The Rainbow Reader series begins again after the three novels with “White: Educating Hayden,” “Gray: Surrender,” “Black: Secrets,” “Brown: Reconnect,” and the final Rainbow Reader of the year, “Silver & Gold: True Love’s Kiss.” There’s no better fiction than the truth. Enjoy the second in the Rainbow Reader series, “Orange: Flourish and Flings.”

About the Author Writing was Adam's hobby. The voices in his head are constantly battling to get out, often leaving him working on four or five different books at once. He can't help but write. When he discovered he was actually good at writing, it became a full time passion that often interrupts his full time gig Teaching English as a Foreign Language.   Along with his writing addiction he has a serious caffeine addiction. Some nights, the only reason he stops writing and goes to sleep is for the fresh brewed coffee in the morning. Teaching English in China, there are serious challenges living in a rural seaside holiday resort to find good coffee.   As an Author, Adam Stevens skillfully writes with a relevant, compelling and believable ability to articulate the emotional context of each character. He will captivate and engage you, in an addictive manner that will make you yearn for the next paragraph, page, chapter, and book.   As a Gay Coming of Age slash Gay Romance Novelist, he has a brilliant magic with words that will draw you into his works with an almost addictive seduction. By Nikita Jakz What a great second edition to the Rainbow Reader Series. This one touched me just as deeply as the first, but in its own unique way. Beautiful saviors, sensual souls, and ultimately that sad survival. Such a dagger to my heart after experiencing such a glorious connection. Gary... Man, he was exactly what George needed, representing safety and comfort, unconditional love. And he gave it all so generously to George. How wonderful it was to see George accept it! He deserves to be happy, after all! He's as beautiful as they come! Innocent and kind, unwilling to hurt a fly. So, yes, much of this story was a balm to my soul, something I as the reader needed to sooth the ache I feel for George. If only George wasn't such a restless spirit, afraid to stay put. Afraid to believe, to even contemplate, the possibility that he is worthy of love. This journey is going to run me through the wringers, i know it. But if that means I can somehow feel like I'm taking the trip at George's side, somehow transcending time's cruel barriers to hold his proverbial hand through his many, many bitter tribulations, then so be it. Because I have a feeling a very big part of Georgie is real. And that real person deserves to never walk alone. Deserves love and especially a happily ever after, and I can't wait to finally witness him getting it.

This is the second book in what is called "The Rainbow Series" which makes sense if you go in the order of the colors of the rainbow. Now, I definitely want to go back and read the first book, aptly titled, "Red". It's a quick read and needs a little editing work, but I can see myself reading the entire series. It was nice to get this book, at no cost, to read on my Kindle App for my Galaxy Tab 4.

I was so wrapped up in the emotional impact of Georgie's life in the first Rainbow Reader, "Red: Awakening," that I could hardly wait to read on, and have to tell you how much this volume touched my heart as well. The stories are well-written, unique and original, such as I have never read before. This story touched my heart so deeply, listening to Georgie share his life's journey, opening my heart to emotions so deeply, and at times challenging my ability to hold them in.I cheered, I laughed, I cursed at him, and I cried for him; big, ugly wet tears. At one time, I was crying so passionately at his hope for happiness, my 24 year old son was concerned and asked me, "What's wrong, Mom?" I just told him I was reading. There were moments of bravery, opening himself up to the possibility of love and an honest, meaningful connection with another person. There were light, fun moments, when Georgie was able to get a taste of what his life could be like. These moments were tempered by disappointment, betrayal and self-doubt, ultimately leading to a bone-crushingly self-destructive incident which broke my heart. This is the second in the series, and after reading the first book, I was addicted. I wanted more. I want to take Georgie and wrap him up in my arms and tell him, "Everything's going to be okay." I want to reassure him life goes on, and gets better. I see myself inside the book at times, and others, the characters jumping off the pages and are right in front of me.This series, so far is so addictive, I have collected the entire rainbow reader series, but time... These books linger in my mind for hours, days afterwards. These moments in time have become part of a precious journey; one which will continue to consume me as I follow the series to its ultimate destination.
