Tommy is torn between the good, loyal heart he was born with and the deep anger caused by the abuse he and his mother endured at the hand of his adoptive father. This combination led him to always defend the defenseless using a dangerous fury that was always brewing and ready to overflow. E-6 Thunder, the brutal vigilante gang, gave him the perfect outlet in which to do this. With a talent for writing, his true love and a supportive counselor, it appeared that Tommy may have a chance to live a normal happy life...A good read from the beginning to the surprise ending you don't want to miss

I was sorry when I finished the book as I wanted to stay on the roller coaster ride with Tommy and all the emotions surrounding him whether it be anger, violence or love and also to find out that he had the capability of making everything that mattered to him right. The writing was so raw and real that you felt that you were right there with Tommy through it all. This author has a real talent. You can tell that his writing comes from within himself and he puts everything he has into it. I am anxiously awaiting his next release.

Fox masterfully lets us into his innermost thoughts while simultaneously holding a mirror to our own.I generally shy away from poetry (its just not my thing) but Fox's book was different. It Spoke out to me in ways other poetry books haven't. I've recommended this book to all my friends. Something about Ragan made me want to learn more. The life stories he shared in the house were gripping, honest and one could tell, born of a lifetime of navigating this country as a gay man. Ragan was genuine and shared so much of himself-- always weaving his stories with funny tidbits of life in West Hollywood or tugging at your heart with tales of abandonment, homophobia or life without his dad.So about the book: Like Ragan, it did not disappoint-- it's funny, raw, a little graphic and as REAL as it gets. He's no shrinking violet. This book is soooo Ragan-- honest, true to self, makes no apologies, bold and refreshing. It's a blend of good humor, painful childhood experiences and defiance. Loved it!Already recommended it to a friend!

Over the years, each book has been modified, corrected, added to, and passed down through the generations to accumulate its own unique history. The secrets behind these very special recipes are about to find their way into new hands and new lives, just when they’re needed the most.Food created out of love casts a spell all its own, but Granny B’s recipes add a little something extra. This curious cookbook holds not only delicious food, but also the secrets of love, trust, and healing, and it’s about to work its magic once again.Cookies for Courting was a sweet tale about an artist and an executive (who was guardian to his niece). However it lacked substance between the main characters; they don’t date and only have a few encounters. Towards the end, the plot became a little over the top. Things happened that did not make sense logically, but seemed just there to create drama.I didn’t believe the feelings between Pace and Marshall. I felt it was mostly superficial physical attraction that wasn’t given any time to develop before “I love yous” were declared. The whole book took place in just a week.I was also disappointed in how little a role the cookbook played. It was mentioned, but it felt like an aside rather than the focus of the book.My favourite part was that I believed Alice to be an eight year old girl. Her speech and mannerisms fit the age. I appreciated that as, so often, children are either portrayed as little adults or toddlers, no matter what age they actually are.Overall, this was my least favourite of the series so far.

I loved everything about it: the plot, the characters, the story, the little girl. Everything.The main characters, Pace and Marshall, were perfectly made for each other. Pace is sweet, kind, giving, a creative artist. Marshall is the strong, assertive, wealthy, independent man who has had this 8 year old girl thrust upon him. He takes to being a father pretty quickly and adjusts to it very well. The little girl, Alice, is very sweet and has instant love for Pace, which is great.The bit of action at the end was surprising. I loved how Pace used his friend to resolve the complication. I don't want to give it away, what happened and what Pace did. It was awesome, though.I highly recommend this book. Amber Kell has been one of my favorite authors for a long time and anything she writes is really good. This short story is one of them.I received this ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review from Inked Rainbow Reads.

One where my favorite character was the little girl, Alice.I loved how Pace wanted to make it on his own - despite his family's connections. Loved her!I did really enjoy reading this story - it had both love, mystery, comfort and a balance to it. And, despite me not liking "instalove" stories, this only touched at that and then balanced out.AvidReaderI was given this in return for an honest review by Inked Rainbow Reads.Where I come from, we have this regional dish which is made by throwing meat, potatoes, and macaroni salad on a plate and covering it with hot sauce. At first, that might not sound great, but it's delicious. That's how I felt reading this story.This very short novella is a hodge-podge of everything. There's a cute hippie artist paired with a successful businessman, a little kid, a friend with mob connections, and "magical" cookies. There's flirting, a bit of steamy sex, a kidnapping, and a sweet happy-ever-after, along with a cast of oddball characters.By the time I finished the story, I was completely charmed and delighted. I think whatever magic was in the cookies must have been infused in the pages. Pace and Marshall are sexy fun and Alice is a treasure of a girl. I'm so glad I picked this up.Short enough to be read in about an hour, if you're looking for pure escape, this is the one for you.~Amy

By Cookie Moretti A copy of this book was provided to me by Inked Rainbow Reads in exchange for an HONEST review.Love is for the Living (Albion Rising, Book 1) by Nicholas Kinsley (MM, Adventure, Drama, Horror, Paranormal, Science Fiction, Romance)****4 STARS****I love a good zombie story with the heros falling in love and having to fight their way through the zombie apocalypse. Albion Rising is a good one. It wasn't complex, but it kept me entertained and reading it straight through. The author is talented, he knows how to draw a reader in and make them invest in the characters survival and developments.Blaine started out as a real weakling, but thanks to a lethal old man who trained him for 2 months, he became stronger. I'm glad the author didn't turn him from a weakling to instant Rambo in 5 seconds. LOL. It took 2 months for him to become an expert shooter and zombie killer, but he was still a skinny, 19 year old kid trying to survive. He still felt fear so it made him realistic and human.Andrew was already a warrior when the zombie infection started. He was a marine and had the chance to get away, but he stayed. Unfortunately, he wasn't very popular with the civilians. His orders where to kill anyone and anything that tried to get on the military base and he followed orders. Months later, he leaves to find his sister after his lover and best friend dies in his arms. it was really sad.I like how the author didn't make Andrew so macho. In the beginning, it was like Andrew was cold and heartless, but he broke down and cried. He tried to fight his feeling for Blaine, but there was a good reason for it.This isn't a book with a lot of sex, there's only like 2 scenes but it was enough. Made the book more realistic. Props to Kinsley and I can't wait for book 2. I gave this story 4 STARS instead of 5 just because someone died at the end that I didn't want to die (GRRR), and there were really slow moments with the characters doing nothing.
