0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Kept My Interest By N. Martin I read this on a whim online via the Gutenberg Project for free. It kept my interest enough to read in one day, though I don't typically enjoy romance novels. The narrative writing style reminded me of Louisa May Alcott's _A Long and Fateful Love Chase_, though this isn't nearly as suspenseful. It details the life of an ingenue through her teenage years, into a bad marriage, and all that befalls her love life later. I enjoyed the twist at the end. It would be worth buying so I could read it again sometime in the future (in paper) without having to mark my place in a web browser.
