Filled with life and laughter and disastrous destruction of any and all boundaries, these characters are drenched in personality and literally exude from the pages. Can you not see Boone Daniels in all his bubble butt glory?Ethan Day has created quite a character in Wade Walker, former Olympic athlete and favorite town son; he’s also created a wonderful character in the town and people of Summit City, Colorado that completely comes alive on the pages of this book, and it’s pure magic when Boone Daniels lands there.Boone is a lot of TALK, and he’s really cute, but OMG he’s a smart a$$. I know! Wade was much nicer to him than I would be! He’s very funny but sometimes he goes a little too far–we all know one of those, right? His penchant for starting novels and losing direction in the middle is fine for him but leaves others wishing he might have more…erm… direction. When his latest lover sends him off for their anniversary trip and instead of joining him, dumps him by phone, he’s more irritated than anything. He’s being fobbed off with an expensive sports vacation? Plus, after hooking up with a well-hung hottie the night before, he’s in no mood for skiing lessons. But Boone’s got more to learn about than skiing when he hits the lodge.Wade’s got to put up with a lot of attention and politics being the hero and golden son of Summit City, but he also gets a lot of perks. Like having the entire town working to find him a partner, even if his ideal partner is another man. They don’t care, they just want him happy. When Boone realizes he’s not just dating a man but is competing in the town lottery, it’s a lot of pressure for him. He’s never finished one of his novels and now he’s competing for an Olympian?But when Wade wants something, he usually gets it, so Boone had better get ready. Because it appears that Wade’s got his eye on him!I loved these two campy, vividly drawn characters and I’m talking about Boone and the town. Wade was a great character but what came across so strongly to me was Boone and then the collective townsfolk. Wade was always there to run interference but it really ticked me to see how Boone got taken over by this bunch. In the first book, Sno Ho, you get the beginning of their relationship, which happens during Boone’s extended vacation in Summit City. I really loved the story line punch of this one. It had all the elements of the story packed into a funny and sweet love story that took a chance on two very different men. A definite must-read.Then, in Life in Fusion, you get the happily ever after. Or at least the trip to getting there. The scenes are hysterical and I won’t spill the beans about Boone’s parents, but just know I adore them. They steal every scene they’re in for me and explain why Boone IS Boone.Funny, sweet, naughty and nice. Everything a reader could wish for on her list to Santa. Perfect! Thanks
