Rainbow Reader Blue: “Hey! I’m Gay” This book includes content from the original, now super-secret manuscript, “Moments in Time: It is never too late to come out,” and has been modified, embellished and enhanced based on reader interest in the characters from the original series. There is really only one moment in time we can cherish, that we remember through all of the good and bad times in our lives. If you can take that one moment of time and cherish it forever, it can bring joy where there is sorrow; happiness and hope where there is despair. This is a secret that we hold true to ourselves, to our hearts. Sometimes you remember the first kiss, the first time you fell off your bike, and the person who was there to pick you up, or when you fell out of the tree, you remember who carried you bleeding to the hospital, or cleaned up your wounds and gave you encouragement and inspiration to go on. But it is this secret you hold true deep down inside that you can sometimes forget. When all else fails, it was the one true thing that you were supposed to hold onto, it molds you into who you are, and who you will be. It helps you evaluate who you were, where you were, and gives you focus on who you want to become, and where you want to go. “Blue: Hey! I’m Gay” is the fifth of the Rainbow Reader series that reveals the sexual discovery, encounters and developing adventures that define the main character as he interacts with characters the readers wanted to know more about from the original Moments in Time series. Fiction is a lie, but there is truth behind every lie. Georgie’s 30 year journey spans the entire Rainbow Reader series and can be read in any order. However, for readers interested in following the timeline in complete continuity, the proper reading order for the series begins with the unpublished, “Pink: The Secret Manuscript,” and continues directly into “Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue and Purple.” The timeline continues quite chronologically into the three “Moments in Time” novels. Following the three “Moments in Time” novels, the story and timeline then continues to spin off different characters’ timelines in order to give the reader an all-encompassing, comprehensive and truly relative reading experience about the characters’ lives as they all develop individually. The Rainbow Reader series begins again after the three novels with “White: Educating Hayden,” “Gray: Surrender,” “Black: Secrets,” “Brown: Reconnect,” and the final Rainbow Reader, “Silver & Gold: True Love’s Kiss.” There’s no better fiction than the truth. Enjoy the fifth in the Rainbow Reader series, “Blue: Hey! I’m Gay.”

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. and heartbreaking love story, this book was a more light-hearted By R Sanchez My experience reading this series has certainly been rewarding. After the last emotionally gripping, and heartbreaking love story, this book was a more light-hearted, lively, and much welcomed difference that still captivated my attention to the intricate details of Georgies adventures through life. I found myself crying so hard in the last book, that I discovered I was laughing with the characters portrayed in this book. Sure, there are quirky romantic adventures, as well as an intrinsic timeline that no one man could endure. But I could seriously relate my real world experience as this storyline developed. No tears were shed from pain in this book, but I can assure you some tears of joy certainly rolled down my cheeks in this segment of the story. Although the author isn’t portraying a love them and leave them scenario, it’s certainly evident that there is a continued love hard, leave hard continuity that is the moral of Georgies life. No more will I coddle him, but I still wished I could comfort him in his own time of sadness, grief and uncertainty. This book made me vow that the next troubled spirit I encounter in my life will definitely receive every ounce of my protection, assistance and swift kick in the ass, if needed. Georgie seems like he has no direction in life at this point of the story, and I have genuinely experienced this feeling in my life before. Living in the closet, hiding away from my own personal challenges, I can relate to Georgies problems. I just handled my problems a little differently. Definitely starting “Purple” tonight, and looking forward to the finale of the series. My only regret reading almost all of the works from this author, is that I didn’t read this short reader series before the Moments in Time novels. But I re-affirm that learning Georgies life before the novels has been one hell of a dramatic reading reality adventure.

The characters were so very real, and you felt yourself right in the middle of all their angst, happiness, and everything--a genuine, enjoyable 5 star read, and I'm looking forward to Mr. Stevens' rainbow :)

I just wish he and Finley could be together. It's sometimes hard to keep up with all the changes in jobs and locations but it doesn't affect the book too much. Really enjoyable read.

A lesbian & gay comedy/western Sagebrush is a busy little town on the western frontier—with plenty of problems for incompetent Sheriff Stonecroft. We first meet Stumpy Doodles, stagecoach driver and Mudhole Johnson, whose riding shotgun. On the stage is Henry Highchair, an East coast lawyer whose job is to defend outlaw Bad Bonnie Hart, but it looks as if he couldn't defend a hound dog against a flea. Gertrude Wheeze will be the new schoolmarm who will soon be wrestling a spitwad out of her ear, while trying to hide a big secret from her past. The residents already in Sagebrush are an assorted cast as well. Pearly Gates, the boardinghouse lady--who once lived with the Indians. Sunny Nagy--sort of the town orphan--who meets up with a hellbent tough, female homesteader, and many others who add to the comedic mix and a plot line that includes blackmail, romance, cross-dressing & murder!

I understand that some customer didn't enjoy the "silly" humour By Mariebook I understand that some customer didn't enjoy the "silly" humour. This humour is just what I enjoyed most! And also the full range of colourful lesbian and gay characters.A light. and laughing western book.Don't miss it if you are in a bad mood.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Blackmail, romance, murder....and cross-dressing, too! By MagyarIrodalom From the very first page, this novella provides the reader with several hours of solid entertainment. As she has done in other projects where she takes us to the bright lights and broken dreams of Hollywood as well as the ominous surroundings of early New Orleans' French Quarter, Helen Dunn immerses us straightaway into the lawlessness of the American Frontier. It is a stagecoach trip we're not soon likely to forget! Just the names of the characters as well as some of the place names will have the reader giggling with delight. The situations are wacky, there are so many unpredictable twists and turns and no small amount of surprises in this fun-packed story. It is capped off with the wildest rodeo you'll ever hear about and a final courtroom scene that will leave you wondering if justice has been done for any of the participants in this tale. I say "yes, and in spades!" Billed as a "western spoof," it transcends that description and outdoes itself in sheer hilarity, colorful personages with picturesque ways of expressing themselves plus the smells and feel of this wildest of Texas towns. A five-star pleaser!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. I enjoyed the story By Amazon Customer I received this book in exchange for an honest review.I’m not sure what I think of this story. It was entertaining and a lot went on. The main MCs didn’t actually begin anything until near the end of the book. This book had a bit of head jumping between many different characters and you were able to see lots of things that were going on, however it made it a bit harder to stay connected with the book. Dustin was suddenly thrust into Athin’s world and wants to choose to stay with him, but is forced back to earth in the end. The end is open for another book to follow the story.I enjoyed the story, however it really isn’t a romance as described in the blurb.

6 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Like the author and the publisher should be ashamed By Megan Derr DNF'ing at 13% and rating b/c of the atrocious treatment of rape. Like the author and the publisher should be ashamed. Mentor recounts to student about a guy in the village who is a failed wizard but remembers one spell that "when mixed in ale and served to pretty young things, makes them forget how to say 'no'"And the student doubts any of the pretty young things would have said no anyhow. And the only thing they care about is the baby causing a scandal. Not the rape, not that one woman is pregnant because of rape, just the 'scandalous' baby.I'm so disgusted right now. There were already some problematic sexual issues, but this crosses the line and sets it on fire.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. A Wonderful Adventure! By Meg I was provided this audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher, and/or narrator in exchange for an unbiased review.I would definitely listen to this book again, and am anxiously awaiting the next installment. This story combines modern day Earth and its technology with a world in another dimension which is still in medieval times; but with magic and all that it entails. I'm not normally a fan of modern technology in my fantasy books, but it was a necessity to the plot line of this book. I'm not one to summarize the story in my reviews, but I will tell you this: It was filled with characters with depth, wonderful world building, creative imagery, and plenty of action. The characters are easy to love, or dislike, depending on the circumstances. There is a bit of innocent romance that I hope is explored more in the (hopefully) upcoming books. The main budding relationship brought to mind the first book or two of Lynn Flewelling's Nightrunner series; not the story line itself, just the way the MC's start to connect. There is nothing explicit, and the language is quite tame throughout the book. There was some mild cursing, but very little, and nothing offensive. It's hard to pick a favorite character. I really liked Athin probably the most. Mir and Dustin come in close seconds. I thought Deric McNish did a fantastic job narrating the story. He really brought the characters to life, and made the story a truly fun experience.I tried to listen to this all in one sitting. I work full-time, and am a single mother; so I woke up at 3:00 this morning with my headphones still on...I just started from where I had left off, and finished up.
