On his way home after losing his job, Shayne's bad day goes farther downhill when a truck slams into him. The sexy man who pulls him from the wreckage, seeing him at his lowest, is either the best or worst thing to happen to Shayne in a long time.
Challenge accepted....
While Lincoln feels guilty for totaling Shayne's car, he can't regret having met the man. Something about Shayne calls to him on a new level and brings out a side in him even Lincoln can't explain.
When these two opposites collide it's only a matter a time before one falls.
Shayne's first love will always be hockey. With the out-of-work goalie on the hunt for a new team, Lincoln knows their time together is short-lived. It'll take a veteran player to sneak past the guard on Lincoln's heart, but Shayne is up for the fight.

In fact, when it comes to erotica, I'm very single-minded in my preferences. However, after hearing what some of my friends were saying about this book, I needed to give it a try.Clearly, they were right! I was impressed from the onset. The story is about a relationship that kicks off between a hockey player and a doctor when the two get in a car accident. It's truly an "accidental romance" in more way than one! And I think that is what made it so romantic. There were also plenty of scenes that can only be described as hot--which goes to show, maybe I shouldn't have written this genre off without giving it a chance.I would LOVE to read more by this author, so I'll be keeping an eye out.

Overall an enjoyable book By Jocelyn I love M/M romances, so when the author asked if I would review this book in exchange for my honest opinion, I was excited to start reading. I know I rated it three stars, but that doesn't mean I didn't like or enjoy the novel, because I did. I liked the main characters and loved minor characters as well. That was one of the problems I had. I felt a bit more invested in the minor characters than I was the main characters, which kind of threw me off midway through the book. Also, this book didn't really have a conflict to me. It felt like a novel about two main characters finding themselves through their love for one another, which is fine, but I didn't feel like there was any plot. I wanted some conflict. Some rising and falling action. I felt more like the characters texted and talked to each other casually more than they were actually together, and that disappointed me because I genuinely liked the two main characters and wish I got to know a little more about them and what made them tick. But all in all, I did enjoy the book. Will I read the next book? Yes, because two of the minor characters in this book will be getting their own standalone story in the next book, and I'm really interested in the future of those characters!Shayne’s is having a terrible day. Losing his job was bad enough, but getting into a car accident right after definitely ruined his day. At least, until the hot doctor who hit his car pulls him out of his car to make sure he was okay. Instantly, he feels attraction for this kind doctor, who has eyes that memorize him. His day went from terrible, to exciting, and Shayne is determined to see more of this Lincoln, even after his wounds have healed.Lincoln is overworked and tired when he accidentally crashes into Shane. And although he feels bad about Shanye's car and his wounds, he doesn't regret literally running into him. He realizes, to his utter shock, that he want to see more of Shanye, but with Shayne looking for a job in different states, Lincoln is unsure if it's worth a shot. But he decides, after spending more time with him, he's worth it. Even if he ends up leaving with his heart.I did enjoy the book and I recommend it to romance readers who enjoy M/M romance. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Collide (Hard Hit, #1) by Charity Parkerson By Diane Lynch Shayne Smith has had a horrible day, after ten years, he was let go from his minor-league hockey team. Then on his way home a truck smashes into his car. Lincoln Linette feels responsible for hitting Shayne’s car; he is compelled to stick by him after the accident.Collide is a great start to this new series by Charity Parkerson. My heart really went out to Shayne. Talk about bad days. He loves hockey and to be let go from a team you were with for ten years would be an ultimate emotional letdown. To top it off he gets in a car accident, which ends up being a blessing in disguise because he meets Lincoln. I love Shayne’s attitude, which is in line with a lot of goalies I know. They seem to be good at not letting things get to them and moving forward. I like that he brings out a less serious side of Lincoln.I respect Lincoln for looking after Shayne. Okay I know he has ulterior motives, but they did have an awkward start. As a doctor, it is no wonder that he is concerned for his health, but he goes way beyond what would be expected of anyone in their situation. He is hard working to a fault and good at his job. I like that he lightens up after meeting Shane.I like that Shayne and Lincoln instantly hit it off, despite Lincoln hitting Shayne’s car. It probably helped that Shayne is so laid back, and Lincoln is nurturing.Charity Parkerson did a great job with the plot fitting in a lot of information into this short story. There are some other things going on with the novella that will nicely lead into the next book in the series (Grady and Ryker’s story). Collide was an enjoyable quick read.A gifted copy was provided for an honest review.
